At the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, which just ended in April, GAC Group released the "NEXT" plan, aiming to adhere to the "EV+ICV" (electrification+intelligence) and "XEV+ICV" (hybrid+intelligence) dual wheel drive route when the era of multiple energy approaches, striving to achieve GAC Trumpchi's transformation to new energy while maintaining GAC's leading advantage in the EAN EV, The transformation to XEV (including PHEV (plug-in hybrid), REV (extended range electric vehicle), and HEV (hybrid)). GAC Trumpchi currently has multiple hybrid models, including the M8, GS8, Yingbao, and Yingku. The first plug-in hybrid new model, the Trumpchi E9, has also started pre-sales and will be officially launched soon.
According to data, the proportion of energy-saving vehicles in GAC Group continued to increase throughout 2022, with the proportion of energy-saving and new energy vehicle sales increasing to 31.31%. The production and sales of energy-saving and new energy vehicles reached 474000 and 452500 respectively, with year-on-year growth of 59.86% and 51.44%, respectively. Energy saving and new energy vehicles are gradually becoming a major new growth point in GAC Group's business.
Especially Guangqi Aian's recent market performance has been impressive. Since the beginning of this year, GAC Aian has sold over 40000 vehicles in a single month for two consecutive months, with continuous satisfactory performance; From January to April, a total of 121320 vehicles have been sold, a year-on-year increase of 120%, continuously leading the new energy vehicle market and maintaining a strong leading position in the industry. At the same time, recently, GAC Ai'an Green Factory again appeared on CCTV CCTV News, becoming a benchmark case for accelerating the construction of green manufacturing system. Faced with the full industry chain of new energy vehicles in the new era and the requirement of full cycle low-carbon products, GAC Aian has always been at the forefront of the times.
Recently, the Executive Meeting of the State Council reviewed and approved the opinions on accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing clusters, deploying to accelerate the construction of charging infrastructure, and better supporting the rural revitalization of new energy vehicles. In promoting the development of new energy vehicles in rural areas, GAC Group is also actively deploying and vigorously promoting the construction of charging infrastructure in townships. The Guangqi Energy Technology Plan under its umbrella prioritizes covering the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, towns in East China, and Central China, and gradually improves the construction of the national charging network with the growth of new energy vehicles; At the same time, it is planned to build 4-6 fast charging stations in public areas, gas stations, and other places centered around townships. Two fast charging terminals will be established through dealers in automobile sales and after-sales outlets to connect townships. Slow charging communication stations will be built in village squares/households and other destinations to create an overall energy supplement network that focuses on slow charging and combines fast and slow charging.
